The Final Countdown! 324 Movement Month (Week 4)
Hello and welcome to Week 4 (the final week) of 324 Movement Month!
How did everyone’s goal continuation and committing to improving their overall well-beings go in week 3 last week? What are you looking to accomplish this week? It is the final push to take everything you learned in these last three weeks and set your mind to putting your all into this week.
Collectively, Abby, Carol, and I all ate healthy, went to the gym, and went on walks. Last Wednesday, I was able to take the day off and in return give my time to volunteering. My teammates and I all volunteered locally to where we live. I chose to spend my day picking up trash at my local beach with buckets provided by the Beach Bucket Foundation. It was a brutally hot day peaking at almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The sand was scorching, so I stayed down towards the shoreline and was able to pick up a full bucket of trash, which is pictured below. I took a well-deserved dip in the ocean to cool off, and then tan, and read for a bit on the beach. I finished Verity by Colleen Hoover, and it was such a page turner! Now I have started The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
For us at 324, we made mindful and healthy adjustments that aid in regulating blood sugar levels. Some habits to implement into your daily routine include:
1. Drink a glass of water with lemon juice and apple cider vinegar 30 minutes to 1 hour before meals.
2. Take a walk after you eat a meal.
3. Eat foods in the following order at dinner: vegetables first, protein second, and carbs/starches last.
Every week we switch off making dinner for the whole apartment for one night, and last week it was Abby and Carol’s turn to cook. We enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken, asparagus, and sweet potato and went to the gym afterwards. We were in a health-kick that night and all felt so energized and good about nourishing our bodies. I’ve been falling asleep faster lately too, which has been feeling great.

This week, we are striving to eat clean, avoid sweet treats, focus on driving up our water intake and being mindful to consistently take supplements. I just bought some magnesium to start taking, which supports heart health.
