So-Flo Renewal
324 is renewed for year 2! Abby, Carol, and I have officially renewed our lease, which means we are committed to another year in south Florida. In just a couple of weeks, my one year of living in Florida will come to be, so stay tuned for a Year 1 reflection blog post.
Living away from New Hampshire has not been easy, but Florida has unraveled itself to be my new home. Whenever I go back to visit NH, I always say I live a double life. I have my own beach town life down in Florida, but I also can insert myself back into my life in NH, and it's as if I have never left.
I can honestly say I may not have moved to a new state without knowing anyone. Being presented with the opportunity to live with my two best friends, and have a bunch of our other friends down here in surrounding towns, and family on the opposite coast of Florida made moving a no-brainer. I am so appreciative to have such supportive friends down here with me, who are my Florida family. The ups and downs that 324 has experienced this past year in our personal lives has been difficult, yet we have all supported each other through the rollercoaster of ebbs and flows of emotions and changes with such grace. I am so lucky to have an amazing group by my side each and every day. We are all in this So-Flo season of life together, and it is such a surreal experience.
The beauty of the Florida coastline takes my breath away constantly. Our beach, which we live a few minutes from, is so clean, peaceful, and pretty. Pictured below is a snapshot of a recent crisp golden full moon perching above the ocean as the sun said goodnight. The beauty of living by the beach is so convenient. We can easily take walks after work to unwind after our work days or kick off our weekends. Nothing beats the sound of crashing waves, toes in the sand, and salty breezy air trailing by.
Take time out of your day this week to unwind, reset, and rejuvenate yourself. Find some calmness in the midst of the busyness. Close your eyes, take a big inhale of breath, and slowly exhale out. Recognize that you are exactly where you are meant to be in this present moment.
Remember to stay humble and kind, always!
