Setting Sail on Sea Minus
Welcome to my 100th blog post! This milestone makes me so incredibly happy and thankful for each and every one of you that read my writing!
I only ever dreamed of living somewhere where it was not cold in the winter. I manifested that dream into a reality. Dreams truly do unfold and come true! I am living out my first winter season in a warm, sunshine-filled environment. Pinch me!
We all need vitamin D, and lack of sun can affect our mood, energy, and health tremendously. If you ever need somewhere to escape to in the winter, my door is always open! Everyone deserves a vacation and dose of sunshine.
The past couple of days were filled with sunrise and morning boating days along the south Florida coastline. I am a night owl through and through, so waking up extra early on days I could sleep in took some effort – LOL. Pictured below is the sunrise as we arrived to the dock on Saturday. Vibrant sunrises and sunsets bring me instant joy. The morning of the sunrise boat ride was so peaceful because we were on the water before most were even awake.
I witnessed people on the smallest rafts to the biggest sailboats and yachts. Everyone out on the water has one motive in mind – to enjoy life. Every boater gives a friendly wave and smile as you pass them by. A lot of boats have names on their sides, and a majority of them are puns. One of the boats we were on was called Sea Minus, which is clever.
Captain Sven drove us all around where we enjoyed the sun’s warmth, the ocean breeze, and crystal clear blue water. It is manatee season, so we had our eyes peeled as we cruised past the manatee coves, but did not come across one. We docked each morning and walked around different parts of Delray Beach and West Palm Beach trying out different bagel shops. I have discovered a new found favorite – jalapeño cream cheese!
Spending quality time with friends is always memorable and treasured! Both days on the boat had me awestruck that it is January and the middle of winter. I am proud of breaking out of my comfort zone in New Hampshire and immersing myself into a new territory.

My younger self would have never believed she would be living in Florida. Follow the opportunities that open for you. Continue pursuing your dreams. Direct your focus on improving your quality of life. I hope you get all that you dream of and more in life!
