Say Cheese!

Have you watched the second season of Outerbanks on Netflix yet? The first season was released when quarantine hit, and it was one of the top shows to watch in 2020. Fast forward to over a year later, the second season was released, and it definitely did not disappoint. My best friend, Jess, and I hung out this weekend, and watched the second season from start to finish. I did not get home until well past 3am. It was pretty impressive that we committed to watching the entire show, but it was well worth it because we were on the edge of our seats the entire night. Watch it and see for yourself just how enticing it is to keep clicking “next episode.” I do enjoy a night out on the town, but relaxing at home is equally enjoyable!

Over quarantine, Jess and I got hooked on TikTok, and grew an interest for lavish designs of charcuterie boards. Charcuterie boards are essentially the adult version of Lunchables. The aesthetic and creativity in which you can present an array of snacks is astounding. Jess and I took it upon ourselves to master the art of charcuterie board making. The ones we have made on our casual Friday nights in could easily feed dozens of people, but when you give us the opportunity to watch an entire show, there will be plenty of cheeses, meats, crackers, spreads, and fruits present. Check out one of our boards below! It has become a tradition to make a charcuterie board every time we hang out, and it allows us to test out and try new cheeses, which is delicious.

Whether it is a night in watching Netflix, a corporate event, or a party, your display of assorted snacking options will be the highlight of the food table. The combinations are endless. You certainly do not need to make extravagant boards because a classic cheddar cheese, salami, and Ritz cracker pairing is a true favorite, but it is fun to have a variety of choices to snack on. Make the most of whatever is in your kitchen, or venture out to the store to pick up something new to try. If you love cheese like I do, I encourage you to spice up your next night in with a scrumptious charcuterie board alongside watching a new movie!
