Ready, Set, Vegas!
Reality has set back in following my Las Vegas trip. Just as I mentioned in my last blog post where it was stressful getting to Vegas, it was the same way returning home with delays and cancellations galore. Yet we made it safely back to New Hampshire!
My family and I had a blast on vacation. We went around at the end of the trip asking each other what our favorite part was, but truthfully we agreed that we loved every aspect because they were each so different and memorable. We stayed at the beautiful Caesar's Palace. Below are some of the highlights and must-try spots.
1. Dinner at Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen restaurant – I have been a fan of Gordon Ramsay and his Hell’s Kitchen show for as long as I can remember. This was a bucket list item I only dreamt about experiencing, but it was able to become a reality as I treated my family in celebration for my brother’s birthday dinner. The atmosphere, ambiance, service, and food were impeccable and top-notch. It was the greatest food that we have each ever tasted. I will now forever crave it. Aside from drinks, we ordered pan-seared scallops, lobster risotto, caesar salad, beef wellington, ribeye steak, jidori chicken scallopini, brussel sprouts, baked macaroni and cheese, and sticky toffee pudding with dulce de leche ice cream and coconut sorbet. Pictured below is a picture of us in front of the kitchen. I highly recommend dining at Hell’s Kitchen if you find yourself in the area!
2. Cirque du Soleil Mystère show – This is Cirque du Soleil’s longest running show and we had the opportunity to watch it. This was my first time seeing a Cirque du Soleil performance and it left me in awe. The talent and acrobatics were remarkable and I was at the edge of my seat hoping they wouldn’t slip up because the tricks were extremely intricate. The show was action-packed that whichever way your eyes took you, there were constant tricks from various performers to be watching. It is a must-see act!
3. Mat Franco magic show – This was a spur of a moment decision to purchase tickets, and my brother’s top choice of who to watch perform magic. We were very fortunate to secure seats. I remember watching Mat Franco win America’s Got Talent, so to be able to watch him perform as we sat in the second row was incredible. Mat Franco was beyond personable and humorous. He knew exactly how to engage with his audience and make everyone feel welcome. My jaw actually dropped with every trick he performed. I was too stunned to speak. Definitely attend one of his shows if you get the opportunity to. It was truly a magical experience and he is a master at what he does!
4. High Roller – This giant ferris wheel takes you 550 feet up in the air at its top peak. It’s a 30-minute observation ride inside enclosed cabins. We were able to see breathtaking views of the Las Vegas strip and the mountains that surrounded the area. This is the perfect way to experience and see all of Las Vegas!
5. Gambling – A trip to Las Vegas isn’t complete without gambling a bit of money away at the casino. I played various slot machines with no luck, and was ready to call it quits to avoid losing more money. I wandered around the casino in Caesar’s Palace and sat at one last machine that I felt drawn to. It was tucked away in a corner, and was waiting for me to play it. On my first spin, the screen lit up stating: INCREDIBLE! I won a good amount of money, and realized the jackpot was near to being full to the brim. I knew I had to keep playing. Low and behold, my family finds me and surrounds me to cheer me on. It is such an exhilarating feeling. I hit the amount of spins and took to be in the running to earn the jackpot. The jackpot turned bright gold, and on my final spin, I was one point away from winning the grand prize. Luckily, I still walked away with great winnings, and was ecstatic to cash it in. Always trust your intuition!
All in all, this trip was fabulous. My brother even spotted influencer Mike Majlak who walked by us, and YouTubers- the Sidemen, whom he got a picture with, that is pictured below. He has supported them for a long time, and they were very laid back, cool, and friendly when we approached and chatted with them. I am very grateful and thankful that my parents surprised us with it for my brother’s birthday. I would go back to Las Vegas in a heartbeat. You can’t beat the weather, the atmosphere, the food, and the entertainment. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas – LOL! However, please reach out to me if you plan on visiting Vegas in the future as I have plenty of recommendations beyond the ones I highlighted above. Travel wherever your heart leads you, and make the most out of every adventure life has to offer!
