Mayer's Music

John Mayer is my all-time favorite music artist. I attended his concert in Boston back in 2017 and it was such a surreal and emotional experience because of I always dreamt of him singing his song “Gravity” live. I have always said that if I could not hear John Mayer serenade me in person, then the second best option would be marrying a man who could play guitar and sing a cover of “Gravity” to me.

Fast forward to this past weekend, I flew to Florida to visit two of my best friends Abby and Carol. Abby, Carol, Carol’s brother Sven, and I were the original concert crew back in 2017, and this time we were reunited to see John Mayer perform on stage again in addition to accompaniment by Carol’s brother Max.

Sven scored us floor seats, but I never imagined them being a handful of rows from the dead-center of the stage. It was a serendipitous feeling as I could had a crystal clear view towards the stage. It was surreal being able to see John Mayer perform close up without needing to look up at the big screens next to the stage to see his face. The energy and passion he gives off as he sings and strums for us is top-notch. He makes the room feel so at ease and comfortable. Pictured below is a photo I took at the concert where John Mayer featured the late Bob Saget, whom he was great friends with. I thought that was so special and sincere!

The best part of being at a concert is soaking yourself into the ambiance around you. You can’t beat the joy exuding from you as you dance and sing along to all of the songs knowing you admire that artist so much. Being with those who share the same love and appreciation towards the performer or group makes it even more of a meaningful experience. John Mayer’s talent and craft that he pours into his music is timeless and a true work of art. He will forever by my favorite! Who’s your favorite singer or group?

If you ever get the chance to see John Mayer perform, please do! This is the only artist I’ve gone to see more than once. The nostalgia and happiness I felt after growing up through each album he produces and then performs in person is an indescribable yet incredible feeling. This is a true testament of pursuing your passion and sharing your gifts with the world, and leaving your impact on those around you!
