Making the Most out of Moments

The weather has been beautiful all around lately. Spring is in full bloom, and it is my favorite season. What is your favorite season?

This past week I have encountered instances that have led me to make the most out of the limited time and moments available to me. My mom flew into Miami last week for a layover, and I had a few hours to spend with her, which was awesome! Abby, Carol, and our friend Anna who was visiting were planning to join me. A late night, not feeling well, and sleeping in were in session, which had me pivot my plans to driving solo to Miami to meet my mom. Plans shift, moments are out of your control at times, and that is ok because keeping an open mind is well-worth it. This was meant to turn into some quality mother-daughter time. Luckily, everyone was feeling rested and up for meeting me in Miami later in the day, which was a lovely surprise.

My mom and I got lunch at Bartaco in Miami, which is one of the best spot for tacos! They have locations in various states, so try it out next time you are around one. We spent a few hours catching up and discussing her trip ahead of her. We seized the moments spent with each other, and our time together flew by. I dropped my mom off at the airport, and she was on her way to adventures ahead.

Abby, Carol, and Anna suggested we explore Frost Science Museum, Aquarium & Planetarium in Miami. It was such an awesome experience filled with many interactive moments. We all had a blast, and were so glad we still got the opportunity to have a fun-filled time in Miami together. I got to pet some stingrays, which are my second favorite animal! Do you know what my favorite animal is? Pictured below is a shark I got to see at the aquarium section!

Anna came into town to join Abby, Carol, and Sven for The Eras tour performed by the ever-so-talented Taylor Swift. When I think of loyal Swifties (Swift's fanbase), I immediately think of Abby and Carol. Carol has even hung out with Taylor Swift in her NYC apartment. I have such a cool best friend! Swift's last tour was cancelled during peak COVID season, so they were elated to have the chance to see her in concert again after all of these years. As they trekked to Tampa, I was preparing myself for a cozy night in. I cooked up some dinner, and hopped on the couch ready to binge season 4 of Love Is Blind. I started to scroll on TikTok and there was a random user going live. She was about to stream the entire concert. Her seats and view of Taylor Swift were crystal-clear and unbelievable. I shifted my focus to my phone and watched the entire concert from the palm of my hands. It was so kind of someone to stream the whole concert for those of us at home. I don't know every Taylor Swift song, but I jammed out for the next 3 hours and 15 minutes. I made my way to Crumbl Cookies and Publix across the street to get some snacks, and I did not miss a beat. I had the concert streaming the whole time in my hand. Taylor Swift is a power house and did not stop performing for the entire tour. I understand the hype over her performances now, and am fortunate to have experienced it all from my living room. The energy from the 70,000 person crowd was immaculate from my screen, and Abby and Carol confirmed that it was so magical in person. They all had a euphoric experience in Tampa, and I am elated for them!
