Love to Learn

Last week I attended the 2022 University of New Hampshire Digital Marketing Conference. My current employer, Southern New Hampshire University, made it possible for me to enhance my knowledge with this professional development opportunity. It is such a wonderful feeling working for a company who supports enhancing and elevating your education. Because I am currently pursing my master’s degree in Communication with a concentration in New Media and Marketing, this conference was the perfect fit to expand my knowledge in that field. Pictured below is a photo of my graduation cap from my college graduation where I earned my bachelor’s degree. It has been 4 years since that milestone, which goes to show how fast time flies by!

There were so many well-spoken presenters that I learned a great deal from at the UNH Digital Marketing Conference. I was able to pick and choose which sessions to attend throughout the day, and was fortunate enough to gain valuable insight from Kelsey Doherty- Director of Marketing of the Boston Red Sox, Kevin Sennett-Director of Photography and Mark Fleming- Owner, Filmmaker, and Creative Director- both from Lone Spruce Creative- a media production company, Alec Newcomb- CEO of ScaledOn- a marketing agency, Constance-Marie James- Network Manager from Hubspot Academy- a marketing, sales, and service company, and Pete Ricci- Vice President, Kelly Nylander- Social Media and Video Director, and Gabriella Servello- Director of Media and Agency Advancement- all from EVR Advertising- an advertising agency.

I often get bored if I am not learning or immersing myself into something new. I love to learn and find so much joy and value in expanding my knowledge bank in all kinds of topics and areas. The saying, “You learn something new every day,” really speaks volumes because nobody is perfect and nobody is a know-it-all. Everyone can benefit from soaking in new information and perspectives from one another. If we all thought the same way, life would be mundane.

I thought I had a grasp on blogging, but I learned so many ways to market my blog from the UNH Digital Marketing Conference. It was so eye-opening. Learning brings so much excitement to my life! I encourage you to take some time this week to research or read up on a new topic, immerse yourself in a new environment, talk to somebody to gain a different perspective on a topic, etc. Ask questions, think outside the box, and never hold yourself back from learning from those around you. Everybody has a story and wisdom from their own encounters. Life is all about growing and becoming the best version of yourself through all the lessons and experiences you go through. You can learn a great deal more by broadening your mind and horizons.
