Love is in the Air

Valentine’s Day is one day out of the year, but it’s in those unpredictable moments of both receiving and giving love that can be the most meaningful. Do you remember the days in your childhood where Valentine’s Day was making everyone in your class feel special by handing out Valentines and drawing handmade cards for your family? This is a reminder to spread love to everyone around you: your family, friends, significant other, strangers, etc.

After work, I spent today with my parents, who I love immensely. They are my forever Valentines. My dad came home with a beautiful bouquet of roses – one for my mom and one for me. There is nothing that can compare to the smell of fresh cut flowers, and it was so sweet. My mom surprised me with some goodies as well, which are the key to my heart and pictured below.

I then spent the rest of the night catching up with one of my amazing friends, Raine and we celebrated our friendship over a Galentine’s Day dinner! Those who are single on Valentine’s Day, such as Raine and I, can often feel the pressure and loneliness of not having someone special to pour your love to on this given day. However, I choose to find the positive in it. We always long for and seek love because that’s what makes life worthwhile. It all starts with fully being confident in who you are and loving yourself so that you can give your heart to others. I prioritize pouring self-care and self-love into myself and continuously growing. I know that I am loved beyond measure and I give 100% of my heart into all my relationships with family and friends. I love that I am healthy. I love the life that I am building for myself. I love the memories I have created and the adventures and travels I have been on. I love being employed for two amazing companies. I love writing my blog every Monday for all of those who read it. I love where I am at presently, and I love what is yet to come because I know my future will be even grander than I can imagine. I truly love it all.

I hope you know how loved you are. Take the love from this holiday and carry it with you the rest of the year. Find love in the little things. Find love in everything that you embody. Find love in everything that you do. Lead with your heart, and you will find everything you are seeking for and more!
