Just Keep Going! 324 Movement Month (Week 2)

Hello and welcome to Week 2 of 324 Movement Month!


How did everyone’s goal setting and first week committing to improving their overall well-beings go? For us at 324, it did not go quite as planned due to some unforeseen circumstances, but our motto moving into week 2 is to just keep going!

Collectively, we all ate pretty healthy. I walked into the grocery store with an inquisitive approach and read all the labels of items I was purchasing to make sure I was avoiding unwanted ingredients. We all bought a new ingredient to incorporate into our diets that we have not had in a while to help strengthen our guts and microbiomes out. Abby and Carol chose cabbage and I chose oats thanks to my mom’s suggestion to blend it up into a powder and add into my smoothies.


I also read the entire Then She Was Gone novel by Lisa Jewell. Abby and Carol are avid readers, and inspired me to pick up and finish my first book likely since I was asked to read books for school assignments. I never got excited to read for fun after it wasn't required of me anymore, but I am so happy I did because it goes to show that it takes the right kind of story to keep you hooked and wanting more. This book was a page turner and I audibly gasped a few times. I cannot wait to pick up and start reading a new book this week to continue stimulating my mind.


I know I am aiming to move my body more this week and drink plenty more water. As we head into a brand new week, I encourage you to reflect on what worked and what didn’t in week 1. What motivation are you taking with you into the new week to persist towards your goals?
