It's Fall Y'all

It’s officially fall, y’all! It is one of my favorite times of the year. My birthday is in October, but also I was fortunate enough to grow up in New Hampshire. New England foliage is breathtaking. I love all the festivities that fall has to offer such as apple picking, going to the fair, pumpkin carving, baking fall treats, haunted hayrides, etc. However, this year my fall looks drastically different. I am experiencing fall as a Floridian, so there is no changing of leaves, cooler temperatures, dressing up in cozy fall outfits to go embark on fall activities, etc. I am looking forward to no winter and extreme cold weather, but there is something in the air during fall that is so magical that I am going to miss.

Because there is no noticeable difference of summer ending and fall beginning, it is crucial to make it feel like fall. I am going to buy fall decorations and bake fall treats. In the current 90-degree weather, I have pumpkin iced coffee in hand on weekends. Pictured below is one of my favorite fall-scented candles that I am burning from Bath & Body Works – Pumpkin Cupcake. Abby, Carol, and I had a designated fall-night-in this past weekend, and put on cozy sweats, lit an apple-scented candle, and put on Harry Potter – a classic!

Each time of year has its own unique and beautiful elements. New seasons set you up with the opportunity for fresh, new, and joyous happenings. I am so grateful to be living in a new state, and will embrace the change in scenery and land of no definitive seasons. I have traded in fall foliage for palm trees, which are so beautiful to look like. I feel wrapped up in paradise by just looking outside of my window, and that is such a surreal feeling. This is my opportunity to create and capture my own seasonal memories and think outside of the box this year. What are you most looking forward to in this fall season?
