'I Do' Crew
This year is turning out to be one of the busiest eras of my entire life, but I would not have it any other way. It's time I catch up with you about where I have been, so buckle up as I unfold everything in the weeks to come!
Let's rewind back to September – Labor Day weekend to be exact. The only wedding I have been in before was as a flower girl in my godmother's wedding, until I was asked a year ago to be a bridesmaid and a part of the 'I Do' crew for Erin and Travis – two of my incredible friends, who are a firm representation of true love. As I wrote about in a blog post earlier this year, I was so honored to be able to celebrate with Erin on her bachelorette trip this year in New Orleans, Louisiana – one of my newest favorite cities! Those of us on the trip made such core memories together. It was a fabulous adventure and a city that will always leave us bonded!
Some of the professional photographs can be viewed below, and they came out beautifully!
A hurricane hit Florida just as I was about to travel north for the wedding festivities. Fortunately, my area was cleared for takeoff. I packed my rose gold sequin bridesmaid dress and stilettos into my carry-on suitcase and flew up to New England for a picturesque Labor Day weekend wedding in Cape Cod right on the beach. Erin and Trav along with their families were beyond welcoming and hospitable to all of us traveling from near and far. They treated everyone like family. Love was in the air all weekend long.
Brendan was a groomsmen, and Carly and I were bridesmaids. Brendan, Carly, Erin, and I became inseparable when we all worked at our past recruiting jobs. Erin and I actually met in college, but got this chance to get to know each other more once we became coworkers. We all spent every day together for over a year, and there's just something special about coworker friendships that carry over to outside of work friendships. When we all hung out outside of work, Trav became an integral part of our friend group. You could even say we are a core crew (if you know you know – LOL). We have all since parted ways with our old company and live in different parts of the country, but one thing has remained constant – our loyal friendship. We haven't all been in the same room together since before the pandemic, so reuniting was surreal for all of us. Those types of friendships that feel like no time has passed since you last saw each other are the greatest. We got the chance to catch up on each other's lives and enjoy the quality time spent with one another.
Watching Erin and Trav's relationship grow and flourish before my eyes over the years has been wonderful to watch. They are a perfectly balanced couple who bring out the best parts of one another. They love each other unconditionally, which pours out into loving their family and friends fiercely and with unwavering loyalty. I am incredibly blessed to have stood by y'alls side in supporting and celebrating you both as you tied the knot.
There were endless memories created during this wedding weekend, and I will forever cherish them. Cheers to the best couple with the best family and friends, the best 'I Do' crew, and the best crowd of guests who gathered in-person and smiling from up above in-spirit for such a lovely marital union and celebration. This wedding was one for the books! Shoutout to Table #7! We smiled and laughed until our cheeks were sore, and danced the night away until our legs caved on the dance floor.
Cheers to your next chapter as a married couple, Erin and Trav. I cannot wait to see what is in store for your love story next! May it be filled with joy, love, and endless buffalo wings.
Remember to stay humble and kind, always!
