Holiday Happenings

We are entering the week of Christmas, which makes me so eager for the end of the week to be here already! My presents are all wrapped and under the tree, which I am shocked that I am ahead of the game this year because I am usually scrambling the week of Christmas to find some time to wrap presents late at night.

This past weekend was filled with many holiday festivities. I kicked off Friday evening getting together virtually with some of my teammates for a virtual holiday party. We are hoping in the next few months we will all be able to gather in person, but it was still great to enjoy each other’s company virtually. It was a night full of endless laughs and banter. We all had a busy week at work, and it was nice to spend time with everyone in a relaxed setting while playing some Jackbox games. There was a game called Quiplash that required two people to come up with anonymous answers to a question where everyone else voted on which one was the funniest. It is a chance to really get to know everyone’s sense of humor. One of the questions I had to answer was along the lines of “What question would be odd to find on an IQ test?” The answer I provided was “What is your IQ?” It was a huge hit because it’s so true! Why would you take an IQ test if you already knew your IQ? LOL. We had a blast and are making it a priority to schedule future game nights more often.

Saturday was the first heavy snowfall and frigid temperature day so far this winter in New Hampshire. That night I attended an annual city-wide Ugly Sweater Party. My best friend Jess and I attend every year, and this year we gathered a group of us to attend. All proceeds from the event go to New Hampshire’s Make-A-Wish chapter. Pictured below is Jess, her sister Aly, and I at the party. It was awesome to see so many people gather and get all dressed up in their holiday attire for a wonderful cause. Make-A-Wish holds a dear place in my heart because I volunteered there in college.

To wrap up the weekend on Sunday, I joined my best friend Haley and her family and attended our local theater’s production of A Christmas Carol. It was my first time ever seeing it, and I was beaming ear to ear the whole time in such amazement of the cast’s pure talent. If you have not seen it before, definitely make it a point to!

As Christmas approaches, be sure to take some time for yourself amidst the busyness, and soak up all the special moments spent with family and friends. May your holiday season be joyous, safe, and healthy.

Remember to stay humble and kind, always!
