Grow Your Garden
I have grown to appreciate and value the simple things in life. I am in awe of the beauty of nature that covers this earth, and soak in any peaceful and observant moment I can. Being in the presence of any body of water, getting to watch a stunning sunrise or sunset, smelling the aroma of flowers, or even listening to the sound of breeze blowing by brings me utter happiness and serenity.
Not every moment in life can be calm and peaceful. I for one am a busy bee, and am always on the go. However, when I do have a moment to stop and appreciate the beauty that our world has to offer, it certainly recharges me.
Both my grandparents on my Puchacz side have soared up to heaven. Their shared gravestone reads: One who plants a garden plants happiness.
My Grampy passed away when I was a baby, but he was known for his abundant vegetable garden, and you could always find him in his element in his garden. Figuratively, I associate planting a garden and cultivating happiness to our every day mindsets. You are what you attract, so if you think of blessings, you will attract blessings. If you cultivate, manifest, and embrace happiness, you will attract happiness. If you plant negative thoughts or seeds of doubt, and surround yourself with negative people who do not add value to your life, then you will attract constant negativity.
Do you want your garden to be filled with weeds, or do you want your garden to be filled with flowers? Rid your life of the people or things that are preventing you from living your best life, and instead put your energy into planting seeds that will help you grow into the best version of yourself.
“Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. The harvest can either be flowers or weeds.” – William Wordsworth
