Autumn Air

What is your favorite season? Fall is one of my favorites for so many reasons. I am blessed to live in New Hampshire where people will travel from miles and miles away to leaf-peep as the fall foliage is at its peak. I love that my birthday falls in this beautiful season where I get to celebrate and enjoy so many fun festivities such as: state fairs, apple picking, pumpkin carving, corn mazes, haunted houses, dressing in fall fashion, dressing up for Halloween, and eating and drinking delicious fall-flavored treats. As soon as pumpkin spice everything is available at Starbucks and Trader Joes, it is officially fall in my book.

My parents and I took our annual trip to Applecrest Farm Orchards in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire this past weekend to go apple picking, raspberry picking, pick out a pumpkin from their pumpkin patch, pet some farm animals, listen to live music, and eat some tasty homemade apple cider donuts, which are pictured below. My dad’s height is perfect for picking the ripest apples off of the tough to reach branches. His apple pie baking skills are top-notch, and he has perfected his recipe. I cannot wait to have a slice this week when he makes it!

What fall traditions have you carried on over the years, and what traditions would you like to start? It is time to fall in love with fall this season because all of the fun is just getting started. Make fall of 2021 an unforgettable season!
