Always

Today’s post is inspired by my friend Victoria, who is the founder of The Midst of Grace community, which can be viewed by clicking here. Today on The Midst of Grace’s Instagram page, she stated that we live in a world with so much inconsistency that sometimes we forget to acknowledge and be thankful for the constants that we have in our lives.

There is a reason my blog motto is: Remember to stay humble and kind, always! It is a reminder to embody that characteristic and quality at all times, and not just occasionally.

Who else is a Harry Potter super fan like me? When I think of the word always, I think of the iconic quote from Severus Snape, played by the late Alan Rickman. Dumbledore referenced to Snape if he still thinks about and loves Lily Potter, by stating, “After all this time?” to which Snape replied, “Always.” There is such simplicity and power held in just that one word.

What can you always count on to remain constant in your life? I have come to terms that people are not always constant and relationships will come and go, but there are always consistencies in life that will never change. Below are some examples that come to mind:

1. The sunrise will always mark a fresh start.

2. You are always granted today, but never tomorrow.

3. Laughter is always the best form of medicine.

4. A rainbow will always peak out and shine after a storm.

5. You will always forget to pack something when going on a trip.

6. The McDonald’s ice cream machine will always be broken. (LOL)

7. You will always have a choice to do what is right.

8. Those up above are always listening, and love you unconditionally, whether it is God, angels, or whoever you feel connected to that is no longer physically with us. (Talk to them and seek out their guidance about anything.)

9. Change is always inevitable. (Learn to adapt and go with the flow.)

10. You will always be you. (Be proud of your roots, background, looks, and desires because there is only one you, and you have been chosen to shine brightly in this world from the outside and the inside).

Choose to always love, always be thankful, always be kind, always be humble, always follow your passions and dreams, and always stay true to yourself. You are here on earth for a purpose, and you will always have me in your corner – forever and always!
