A Sasha Sunday

Happy Memorial Day! My love, respect, and appreciation goes out to all of the fallen heroes who served our country. Today marks the first official week of me settling into Florida. Abby, Carol, and I spent our Sunday yesterday at a local coffee shop. We ordered some delicious beverages and acai bowls and nestled into a table to hang out for a bit. Abby attended a writing seminar and I worked on a final project for my Master’s program.

As Abby finished her writing seminar, and I was shutting down my computer after making some progress on my assignment, a familiar face walked into the coffee shop. It was none other than Sasha Farber, who is one of my favorite professional dancers on the Dancing with the Stars show. I have watched Dancing with the Stars ever since the first season premiered back in 2005, and it is always a show my mom and I look forward to watching every season to support and cheer on each celebrity cast member and professional dancer. The bonds between each pair of partners each season is so beautiful and exciting to watch as they grow and transform before our eyes on screen.

I approached Sasha and said hello to him, and he was so down-to-earth, humble, and kind during our interaction. It is great to experience the same energy that he showcases on screen, but in person as well.

It was an honor meeting someone that I have grown up looking up to and supporting for many years. Thank you Sasha, for taking time out of your Sunday to chat with me and suggest taking a photo, which is pictured below. After moving to a new state and town, who knew I would run into him. It made my whole weekend! I could have gone to any coffee shop, or gone to the same one at a different time of day and we would have never crossed paths, which goes to show that every decision aligns exactly how it is supposed to.
